Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Barefoot then submitted a Final Plan of the Lake Villanow Subdivision, Section II. This subdivision is located in Greenwood Township off Chris Cole Road. The developer, White Hill Development Corp. has completed Phase I of the subdivision which contained thirty-six (36) lots, the same number proposed for Phase II. Each lot will average approximately two acres in size and front on the approximately one mile of new streets to be developed within Section II. Individual wells and septic tanks are proposed for use on each lot. The Planning Board has reviewed the plan and recommends its approval to the Board. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to approve the Final Plan of the Lake Villanow Subdivision. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Board next considered a request from Social Services for a temporary position to work half-time in the Children's Medicaid Program. The Chairman recognized Mr. Donn Gunderson, Director Social Services. Mr. Gunderson explained this position is to work taking applications for Children's Medicaid Programs. Since August of 1989, their case load has grown from 131 cases to 221 or a 68.7% increase. They have two workers in this program and they have to work overtime to keep up. In April the State will extended Medicaid coverage to pregnant teenagers, regardless of parental income. They expect this will expand their case load. The cost of this half-time position could be absorbed within the existing budget. If hired effective March 1, 1990, the costs would be as follows: $2,804.00 (1/2 - time for four months) 210.58 FICA $3,014.58 Mr. Gunderson advised that the Board of Social Services has endorsed this proposal. Commissioner Dossenbach advised that the Social Services Board went over this in their meeting a couple of weeks ago and recommend approval for a four month period. At that time it will be looked at to see if the case load has remained at the same level, diminished or increased. Commissioner Stafford asked that they assure the person that they hire that they are being hired only for part time and that the funding is only for 4 months so there will be no misunderstanding.
