The Board next considered matters relating to the Lee County Solid Waste Program: A. Declare the landfill as the tire collection site for Lee County: The Chairman recognized Mr. Bobby Jonson, Public Works Director. Mr. Johnson advised that Senate Bill 111 requires that you designate only one area in the County as a collection and processing site for old tires. Commissioner Stafford moved to designate the landfill as the tire collection site for Lee County. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker. Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. B. To Charge a tipping fee at the landfill effective July 1, 1990. Commissioner Cox moved to authorize a $9.00 per ton tipping fee at the landfill effective July 1, 1990.
