ao~,K 13 74 <br />Health recommended q e following new fees: <br />Annual Swimming Pool Permit Fee $100.00 <br />Cholesterol Screening Test Fee $ 3.25 <br />The Swimming Pool Permit Fee would be charged to each pool <br />that receives an operation permit issued by the Health <br />Department except those operated by the County Recreation <br />Department. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to approve the additional <br />Health Department Fees as recommended by the Health Board. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker. <br />Nay: None <br />The chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board next considered the recommendations for 1989 <br />Appeals to the State Tax Commission. Mr. Roger Kelly, Lee <br />County Appraisal Manager was recognized. Mr. Kelly reviewed the <br />21 parcels that have been scheduled for review by the State Tax <br />Commission at their next meeting, April 24, 25 and 26, 1990. <br />Copy of the recommendations is attached to these minutes and by <br />this reference made a part hereof. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Cox moved to accept the recommendations for 1989 <br />Appeals to the State Tax Commission as presented. Commissioner <br />Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board next considered a Resolution that the month of <br />April be designated Earth Month. Commissioner Stafford advised <br />the Environmental Affairs Board requested the Board consider <br />this resolution. Commissioner Stafford moved for approval of <br />the following Resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the fragile existence of the habitat we call home <br />necessitates concern for all aspects of creation, and <br />WHEREAS, knowledgeable and prudent scientists agree that <br />the health and future of our planet is in serious jeopardy, and <br />WHEREAS, we are reminded constantly through the media of <br />threats to our environment, including the greenhouse effect, <br />acid rain, deforestation, toxic chemical waste, pesticide <br />residues, contaminated drinking water, and overpopulation, and <br />WHEREAS, our challenge is to reconcile our shrewd success <br />3 <br />
