Nr I Maddox. <br />Commissioner Cox moved that the petitions be approved and <br />forwarded to the Division of Highways for its consideration. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Matthews and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />Mr. Barefoot then advised that the Planning Board <br />received a request from the Tramway Rural Fire Department to have <br />their driveway paved. DOT will honor such requests from rural <br />fire departments. The Planning Board recommended approval of <br />this request. Commissioner Matthews moved that the petition be <br />approved and forwarded to the Division of Highways for its <br />consideration. The <br />Finance Officer reviewed the budget amendment. Copy of the Budget <br />Amendment is attached to these minutes and by this reference made <br />a part hereof. After Mrs. Fields had completed her review and <br />explanation, Commissioner Stafford moved that the Budget Amendment <br />be approved. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board then considered the Tax Release/Refund Report for <br />February and March, 1990. Copy attached to these minutes, and by <br />this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Matthews moved <br />that the report be authorized and approved. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker. <br />Nay: None <br />The Board next considered advertising for nominees to serve <br />on the various boards and commissions. The County Manager <br />reported that several times during the last fiscal year, Mr. Cox <br />as Chairman mentioned that he would like to see Lee County devote <br />more time to solicit people to serve on our various boards and <br />commissions. Mr. Cowan asked for the Board's permission to <br />advertise, prior to the June appointments, in the Sanford Herald <br />for nominees for these boards and commissions. <br />7 <br />
