There is some State <br />Discretionary Money that may be used if this Board would pass a <br />Resolution to ask the State to come in and pave the first 550 <br />Feet of this road. Commissioner Stafford moved to authorize the <br />County Manager to write a Resolution requesting the paving of <br />the first 550 Feet of SR 1462. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The County Attorney advised that the Town of Broadway in <br />the past has contracted directly with Mr. Barefoot to advise <br />their Planning Board. The County Manager advised it would be <br />preferable if they contracted with the County. The Town of <br />Broadway wants to continue the association and relationship. <br />They would like to enter into an agreement with Lee County that <br />the Planning Director may assist their Planning Board. <br />The County Manager has recommended the agreement be in written <br />form between the two boards and spell out exactly what we are to <br />perform for the fee. Commissioner Dossenbach moved to authorize <br />the County Attorney to draft an agreement with the Town of <br />Broadway. Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox moved that the Board go into executive <br />session to discuss contractual and land acquisition matters. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and the Board was in executive session. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the executive session be <br />closed. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and the Board had resumed its regular meeting. <br />7 <br />
