fir's'' 1'J (r~. iii 1 V <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The County Manager advised that in preparing for the <br />upcoming appointments to the various boards, we discovered that <br />appointments had not been made to the Lee County Personnel Board <br />since 1988. The Personnel Ordinance requires that all <br />grievances that are appealed to this Board shall be referred to <br />the Personnel Board. Mr. Cowan recommended that the Board <br />re-establish their appointments and activate this Board in case <br />appeals become necessary. <br />Commissioner Cox nominated Mrs. Fields, Assistant Manager <br />and Finance Officer, and Mr. Barefoot, County Planner as the two <br />County employees for a one year term on the Personnel Board. <br />Commissioner Stafford nominated Commissioner Cox as the <br />commissioner representative. Commissioner Stafford also <br />nominated Mr. John McDonald, who is in Personnel at Coty, for a <br />two year term as a member from the private sector. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach nominated Reverend Joe Morgan for a two year term as <br />the other member from the private sector. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved to accept all the nominations. Commissioner <br />Stafford seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board next considered <br />April, 1990.
