Thev are evaluati,a extra <br />construction and weather days requested by the contractor and <br />have ordered climatological weather charts for the months during <br />which the requests have been made and will base weather days on <br />this data. <br />The County Manager was asked to write Mr. Howell and <br />request he submit to the Board a time extension for the <br />contractors and the estimated amount of liquidated damages <br />anticipated against the contractors for construction delays. <br />The Board then observed a short recess. Following the <br />recess, the Board convened with all members present. <br />The Board next considered Budget Amendment #06/14/90/24. <br />The Finance Officer reviewed the budget amendment. Copy of the <br />Budget Amendment is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. After Mrs. Fields had completed <br />her review and explanation, commissioner Dossenbach moved that <br />the Budget Amendment be approved. Commissioner Stafford seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board next considered a report from the Committee to <br />study the composition of the various boards and committees. <br />Commissioners Dossenbach, Matthews and the County Manager served <br />on this committee. Commissioner Matthews reported that they <br />recommend the following: <br />Recommended <br />Board Present Members Members* <br />Industrial Development <br />Corporation 10 8 <br />Library Board 9 7 <br />Senior Citizens Board 15 7 <br />Youth Commission 15 7 <br />Recreation commission 9 8 <br />Does not include the Commissioner representative. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to adopt the changes as <br />recommended. Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board then discussed which Boards set policy and which <br />were advisory. After discussion, Commissioner Cox moved to <br />18 <br />
