Mlh-vPES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, July 2, 1990 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 A.M. on Monday, July 2, 1990, in the Commissioners' room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were: Commissioners Albert L. Cox, John R. Dossenbach, Jr. Bertha L. Matthews, William C. Stafford, Jr. and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Wicker declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman Gordon A. Wicker presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by County Attorney, K. R. Hoyle. Commissioner Matthews moved that the Board proceed to hold a public hearing on the Secondary Road Construction Program for Lee County. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously and the public hearing was open. Mr. J. A. Clendenin, District Engineer, appeared on behalf of the Department of Transportation and reviewed the anticipated allocation and the recommended appropriations of those funds to the various projects. Following Mr. Clendenin's review, members of the Board directed questions to Mr. Clendenin. After all persons had been given an opportunity to speak, Commissioner Matthews moved that the public hearing be closed. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously and the public hearing closed.
