Mlh-vPES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, July 2, 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 A.M. <br />on Monday, July 2, 1990, in the Commissioners' room on the <br />second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, <br />Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were: Commissioners <br />Albert L. Cox, John R. Dossenbach, Jr. Bertha L. Matthews, <br />William C. Stafford, Jr. and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman <br />Wicker declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the <br />transaction of business. <br />Chairman Gordon A. Wicker presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by County Attorney, K. R. Hoyle. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved that the Board proceed to <br />hold a public hearing on the Secondary Road Construction Program <br />for Lee County. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously and the <br />public hearing was open. <br />Mr. J. A. Clendenin, District Engineer, appeared on behalf <br />of the Department of Transportation and reviewed the anticipated <br />allocation and the recommended appropriations of those funds to <br />the various projects. Following Mr. Clendenin's review, members <br />of the Board directed questions to Mr. Clendenin. After all <br />persons had been given an opportunity to speak, Commissioner <br />Matthews moved that the public hearing be closed. Commissioner <br />Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously and the <br />public hearing closed. <br />The draft of the minutes for the regular meeting held on <br />June 4th and the adjourned regular meeting held on Monday, June <br />11th were reviewed and corrected.
