ROV 13 PACE 308 <br />Aye: Cox, Do tenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />It was reported to the Board that two nominees were out of <br />town and could not be contacted at the time the Board was <br />considering appointments. Ms. Mary Alice Holmes for the <br />Mid-Carolina Private Industry Council and Mr. Douglas Johnson <br />for the Planning Board. Both Ms. Holmes and Mr. Johnson had to <br />decline membership. The Mid-Carolina Private Industry is a two <br />year term and the Planning Board a three year term. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to nominate Mr. George Palmer to <br />serve on the Mid-Carolina Private Industry Council and Mr. James <br />Wicker to be re-assigned from the Board of Adjustment to the <br />Planning Board. Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion. The <br />Chairman was given permission to abstain from voting on Mr. <br />Wicker's nomination. The vote on Mr. Palmer was as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The vote on Mr. Wicker was as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews and Stafford <br />Nay: None <br />Abstain: Wicker <br />Commissioner Stafford moved to nominate Mr. Alton Rollins to <br />serve on the Board of Adjustment as a replacement for Mr. Wicker. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, Planning Director, appeared before <br />the Board and requested authorization to advertise a Public <br />Hearing to be held on August 20th to consider revisions to the <br />Lee County Building Permit Fee Schedule. Mr. Barefoot advised <br />that a re-zoning hearing had been scheduled that night beginning <br />at 7:30 P.M. Commissioner Cox moved to grant Mr. Barefoot's <br />request and schedule a Public Hearing on the revisions to the <br />Building Permit Fee Schedule immediately following the Hearing on <br />the re-zoning. Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Board next considered a request for the Destruction of <br />Purged Social Services and Public Assistance Records which have <br />4 <br />
