noK 13 Pr,q 3L~ <br />Commissioner S afford moved that the Boar proceed to hold a <br />public hearing on Revisions to the Lee County Building Permit Fee <br />Schedule. Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted and <br />the public hearing was open. <br />Mr. Barefoot reported that during the budget process that he, <br />Mr. Phillips, Superintendent of Inspections, and the County Manager <br />had met with members of the Finance Committee and discussed the <br />Permit Fee Schedule. This schedule has not been revised for eight <br />years. He advised that during the past several months he had met <br />with many of the home builders to solicit their input. He also <br />mailed a letter to the Board of Directors of the Sanford Home <br />Builders Association advising of these changes. The purpose of the <br />public hearing is to consider an amendment to the ordinance by <br />allowing the Board to set fees for permits by resolution. <br />The Chairman opened the floor to all persons who wanted to <br />speak on the matter and no one appeared before the Board. <br />Commissioner Cox moved that the public hearing be closed. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted and <br />the public hearing closed. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the ordinance Providing <br />Lee County be amended by deleting Section 3-11 under Article <br />III. Enforcement in its entirety and inserting: <br />Fees for permits shall be determined by the Board of County <br />Commissioners and adopted by resolution. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />Commissioner Stafford moved for adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, G.S. 153A-354 and the ordinance establishing the <br />4 <br />
