No one signed up to speak during the Public Comments section of the meeting. The Board considered'an; appoint ient'to the Lee County Environmental Affairs Board. Clerk to the Board Gaynell Lee presented one application for reappointment to said Board. Commissioner Hayes moved to reappoint Ms. Ophelia Livingston to a 3 -year appointment to the Lee County Environmental-Affairs Board. Commissioner Reives presented applications and moved to appoint Ms. Hazel Tysor and,Ms� Dean to the Rest Home - Nursing Home Advisory Board. Upon a vote of all three'nominations, the results were as follows: \ Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack \ Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board presented a resolution honoring the 12 year old Boys All -Star team for winning the State Championship. Ben Lucas, Athletic Supervisor with Lee County Parks and Recreation told Board members that the under 12 year old Boys All -Star Team won the State Tournament July 28 -31 in Hickory, North Carolina. Chairman Shook read and presented the resolution honoring the team to members and coaches that were in attendance. A copy of the resolution is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. 2
