noO is Pt{;~ 0`33 <br />Manager went over the list of property compileaā€˛'by Mr. Brewer, <br />Maintenance Director and other Department Heads. The Board <br />discussed the list at length. The County Manager was directed to <br />meet with Mr. Brewer and inspect each item to see if there are <br />any items that should be maintained in the County's inventory. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved adoption of the following <br />Resolution. <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners desires to <br />dispose of certain surplus personal PROPERTY of the County: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners that: <br />1. The following described property is hereby declared to <br />be surplus to the needs of the County: <br />- SEE ATTACHED LIST - <br />2. A Public Action will be held on September 22, 1990 at <br />10:00 A.M. at the Lee County Armory. <br />3. The County Manager shall cause a notice of the public <br />auction to be published in accordance with G.S. 153A-176. <br />4. The terms of the sale shall be cash or approved check, <br />and the highest bid, if it complies with the terms of the sale, <br />may be accepted and the sale consummated. <br />5. County employees may bid at said sale. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Board then considered the following bids for conducting <br />the auction: <br />Clinton C. Pickard Auctioneer 12% of the sales price <br />Childs Auction Company 6.5% of the sales price <br />Woodell Auction Company 6% of the sales price <br />The County Manager advised that the specifications required <br />that they provide all advertising, personnel, public address <br />system and the attendant forms and records. Commissioner <br />Stafford moved to accept the low bid of Woodell Auction Company <br />of 6% and authorized the County Manager to meet with Mr. Woodell <br />to make sure he will meet all the required specifications since <br />the County has no past experience with this Company and to give <br />the County Manager the authority to go ahead with the 6.5% bid if <br />the conditions cannot be worked out with Mr. Woodell. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results <br />were as follows: <br />5 <br />
