}a Nay: None BOOR r?;G ~it3d Mr. Nathan Crissman, Tax Administrator, appeared before the Board and requested authority to docket judgments for unpaid 1989 real estate taxes in accordance with a list presented to the Board. Commissioner Cox moved that the Tax Administrator be authorized and empowered to docket judgments for all 1989 unpaid real estate taxes. Commissioner wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, Wicker and Cox Nay: None The Vice Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Joyce reported that we have received notification from the Federal Aviation Administration that they have approved an amendment to the Grant Agreement concerning the extension project and erosion control plan at the Sanford/Lee County Airport. This amendment increases maximum obligation by $19,297 for cost overruns. Commissioner Dossenbach advised that the Airport Commission voted unanimously to recommend acceptance of this Amendment. Commissioner Stafford moved that the amendment be approved (Copy of the Amendment is attached to these Minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.) Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker Nay: None Commissioner Cox thanked the County Manager for getting together all of the Fire Department Minutes and requested that all the Minutes be typed. The County Manager advised that he received, in today's mail, a letter from CSX Real Property concerning the property that is currently being used by the Department for the Aging and the Chamber Office. They have had the property appraised and consider that it is worth $125,000 and are giving us 15 days to advise them as to whether we would be interested in purchasing this property. The Board discussed the matter at length. After discussion, the County Manager was authorized to write CSX and advise that we are not interested in the purchase of this property for $125,000. The County Manager reported that Mr. Crissman had written a letter to Mr. Hall explaining the solid waste and recycling policy as requested by the Board at the last meeting. Mr. Cowan also reported on a letter written to Mr. Ed Dunlap of the NC School Board Association from Mr. Donny L. Hunter, Superintendent, Lee County Schools nominating the Lee County Board of Commissioners for consideration of the "North 6
