HOOK D Pr G` JOJ Chief Ronnie Campbell of the Northview Fire Department advised that ARS has stated that they will provide the needed equipment. Mr. Billy Ray Cameron, Director Emergency Management Service advised that he will draw up a written agreement just as they have with some other corporations that they deal with. Anything that cost above the regular tax base, which is the service they are supposed to furnish, will be charged and that is made plain at the outset. Mr. George McRae, member of the Environmental Affairs Board asked to have that Board's recommendations put in writing. The Vice Chairman advised the Commissioners could require this to be made a condition of approval. Mrs. Billie Elmore of Rolling Hill Road expressed concern about mosquitos at the site. Mr. Godwin advised that current State Permit requirements require that any exposed tires for a period of longer than ten days have to be covered. Their present program involves covering the tires with a polyester plastic tarp. They are working with the State to try to get approval for a spray program. Mrs. Elmore advised she would object to a spraying operation. She asked when security personnel would be on the site. Mr. Godwin advised that they anticipate a two shift operation and when there are no operating personnel on the site they will have security personnel. Commissioner Cox asked if this operation had been cleared by the Health Board. Mr. Godwin advised that they have not contacted the Health Board in Lee County at this point. They have talked with the State Health Board and will contact the local Health Board. Commissioner Stafford advised there is a Health Board meeting Wednesday night. There being no Chairman Dossenbach a request to rezone Highway Commercial on the western side Township. further discussion on this request, Vice opened the floor for discussion on Item No. 3 from Residential Agricultural District to )istrict approximately five acres of land located of Farrell Road (S.R. 1423) in Deep River Mr. Barefoot advised that the Ammons property is adjacent to a commercial operation, Central Carolina Scales Company, which is owned by Wayne Lamberth. Central Carolina Scales has operated at this location for several years. CCS was not zoned Highway Commercial District initially, but it is his feeling that it should have been. Mrs. Katie Ammons, petitioner, asked that the Board rezone this property in order for them to build a shop or something of that nature on it. After the Board of Commissioners had heard all persons who requested to be heard on the rezoning, Commissioner Cox moved that the Public Hearing be closed.
