0 BO!)~ 13 PASS 408 r <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Joyce advised that a resolution is also needed <br />certifying signatories to request funds. <br />Commissioner Cox moved for adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has received a 1990 CDBG-Community <br />Revitalization Grant; and <br />WHEREAS, two authorized signatures are required on all <br />Requisitions for DCBG Funds forms; and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County shall authorize four persons including <br />the chief elected official and the chief finance officer as <br />designated signatories. <br />BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT: <br />1, The following individuals are authorized to sign <br />Requisition for CDBG Funds form for Lee County: <br />Mr. Gordon A. Wicker, Chairman Lee County Board <br />Mr. William K. Cowan, County Manager <br />Mrs. Beatrice Fields, Finance Officer <br />Mr. Bob Joyce, Economic Development Director <br />Commissioner Dossenbach seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next considered contracts for the Volunteer Fire <br />Departments. Commissioner Matthews reported that she, the <br />County Manager and County Attorney net with the Fire Departments <br />last Wednesday and went through the complete contract. <br />Revisions were made and on Friday a new draft of the contract <br />was mailed to the Commissioners for their review. Commissioner <br />Cox questioned transferring the furnishing of workman's <br />compensation insurance coverage to the County. The Finance <br />officer advised that this has always been done. The Board <br />discussed the revisions at length. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved to send this matter back to the <br />committee for further study and recommendation and to re-submit <br />it to the full board at the second meeting in November. <br />7 <br />
