13 p..r,- q` 14 <br />1 <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19, 1990 <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners <br />for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 10:00 <br />A.M. on Friday, October 19, 1990, in the Commissioners, room on <br />the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker <br />Street, Sanford, North Carolina, the same being the time, date, <br />and place specified in the motion of adjournment. Those present <br />were: Commissioners Albert L. Cox, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., <br />Bertha L. Matthews, William C. Stafford, Jr., and Gordon A. <br />Wicker. Chairman Wicker declared a quorum present and the <br />meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to enter an executive session to <br />discuss a personnel matter. Commissioner Stafford seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously, and the <br />Board was in executive session. <br />Commissioner Cox moved that the executive session be closed. <br />Commissioner Stafford seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted, <br />and the Board resumed its regular meeting. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the Board request the <br />State Auditor to conduct a performance audit of the Social <br />Services Department and to report their findings to the Board of <br />Commissioners as soon as possible. Commissioner Stafford <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to re-enter an executive session to <br />discuss legal matters. Commissioner Stafford seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />1 <br />
