2007 - D�- <br />0 LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTON AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT OF <br />OFFER TO PURCHASE A VACANT LOT ON <br />WEST HUMBER STREET, SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee acquired title to a vacant lot located on West <br />Humber Street, Sanford, North Carolina, by three deeds recorded in Deed Book <br />496 at Pages 302, 304, and 308 in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Lee <br />County which property is more particular described as follows: <br />Beginning at an iron stake, the northeast corner of a three -acre tract sold <br />by E. P. Snipes and W. W. Henley to Florida Watson, deed for which is <br />recorded in Lee County Registry, and running from said corner South 17 <br />West 3' /z chains to a stake in the McKoy line; thence as that line North <br />86 West 5'/2 chains to a new corner in said line; thence South 34 East <br />about 4'h chains to a stake, a new corner in the second line of said <br />three acre tract; thence as that line South 86 East about 3'/z chains to <br />® the beginning, containing 2 acres, more or less, and being the eastern <br />two- thirds of said three -acre tract. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County desire to dispose of said <br />property as being surplus to its needs; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners as <br />follows: <br />1. That the lot identified partial identification number 9652 -10- 9625 -00 <br />located on West Humber Street hereinbefore described is hereby <br />declared surplus to the needs of the County of Lee. <br />2. That the County has received an offer from Ms. Linda Ware to <br />purchase said lot for the price of Nine Thousand Dollars <br />($9,000.00). <br />3. That the County of Lee proposes to accept the offer provided <br />deposits are made in accordance with the other provisions of this <br />resolution. <br />4. The offeror shall deposit with the Lee County Finance Office the <br />sum of One Hundred Twenty Five dollars ($125.00) to defray the <br />cost of advertising and administrative services in connection with <br />this offer. Failure to make such deposit within thirteen (13) days <br />0 following mailing of notice of such requirement by the Clerk to the <br />
