2007 - <br />LEE COUNTY <br />©0134© ©a0 60© <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />TO ADDRESS ACTION FROM ANNUAL <br />PLANNING RETREAT <br />0. <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners held their Annual Planning Retreat <br />on February 12 -13, 2007, at the Broadway Community Center in Broadway, North <br />Carolina, and <br />WHEREAS, during the Retreat various topics of interest were discussed including <br />Missions and Values of Lee County and expectations of a new County Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board also heard presentations from staff and other interested citizens <br />on such topics as 911 Communications, report from the Lee County Fire Advisory Board, <br />County space needs, Risk Management, EDC relationships, impact of immigration on <br />Lee County, and financing of 2008 -2012 Capital Improvement Projects. <br />NOW; THEREFORE, We the Lee County Board of Commissioners do endorse the <br />following issues from the 2007 Annual Planning Retreat: <br />1. Reaffirm Mission and Values Statement; <br />2. Create a 911 Advisory Board of <br />Communication issues, <br />3. Encourage the Fire Advisory Board <br />recommendations to address fire issues; <br />4.
