poor 5r1 <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschall, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Barefoot explained that the Planning Board has received <br />petitions from several residents who live along Reeves Drive, a <br />residential street located in Lemon Springs. The street, which <br />is paved, was developed several years ago as a part of the Lemon <br />Heights Subdivision. The Planning Board unanimously recommends <br />the petition be forwarded to the Division of Highways with a <br />recommendation that the street be added to the State system for <br />maintenance. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved that the following resolution <br />be adopted: <br />North Carolina <br />County of Lee <br />Road Description: Reeves Road (In Terry Reeves Subdivision) <br />WHEREAS, the attached petition has been filed with the <br />Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee requesting <br />that the above described road, the location of which has been <br />indicated in red on the attached map, be added to the Secondary <br />Road System: and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is of the <br />opinion that the above described road should be added to the <br />Secondary Road System, if the road meets minimum standards and <br />criteria established by the Division of Highways of the <br />Department of Transportation for the addition of roads to the <br />System. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of the County of Lee that the Division of Highways <br />is hereby requested to review the above described road, and to <br />take over the road for maintenance if it meets established <br />standards and criteria. <br />Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />Assistant County Manager Fields reviewed Budget Amendment <br />##12/03/90/07. A copy is attached to these minutes, and by this <br />reference, made a part hereof.
