2007 - JK <br />LEE 0UNTY <br />® Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION <br />HONORING FORMER COMMISSIONER <br />AMY L. STEVENS <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Stevens was elected as a member of the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners in December 2002 representing District 2; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Stevens was elected Vice - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners <br />when she was sworn in for her second term of office in December 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Stevens served in several leadership positions during her tenure, <br />including being the county's representative on the Sandhills Mental Health Board and <br />Co -Chair of the Legislative Goals Committee of the North Carolina Association of County <br />Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Stevens has demonstrated a deep commitment to her job and to the <br />® citizens of Lee County; and <br />WHEREAS, her years of service have been marked by her dedication to the best <br />interest of the community, and she has worked constantly for the betterment of Lee <br />County citizens. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />does hereby express its sincere appreciation to Amy Stevens for her distinguished <br />service to the community and extends to her their best wishes in all her future <br />endeavors. <br />Presented this 7th day of May 2007. <br />Robert H.
