get~~; 13 508 <br />MINUl'ES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />V <br /> <br />Monday, December 17, 1990 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 P.M. on <br />Monday, December 17, 1990, in the Commissioners' Room on the <br />second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, <br />Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were: Commissioners <br />Albert L. Cox, Bobby R. Hall, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. <br />Paschal, Robert T. Reives, William C. Stafford, Jr., and Gordon <br />A. Wicker. Chairman Stafford declared a quorum present and the <br />meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman William C. Stafford, Jr. presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Chairman Stafford. <br />Commissioner Hall moved that the Board proceed to hold a public <br />hearing on the following request: <br />Petition by James O. Russ to change the zoning classification <br />of 4.71 acres of land located on the western side of Petty Road from <br />Residential Restricted District to Residential Agricultural <br />Conditional Use District. Excepted from the parcel described above <br />is the portion of the property which lies within the <br />extraterritorial planning jurisdiction of the City of Sanford which <br />begins at a point 300 feet from the centerline of Petty Road. The <br />petitioner proposes to locate a single-wide manufactured home on the <br />property. <br />Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion unanimously adopted, and the <br />public hearing was open. <br />The Chairman asked the members of the Planning Board to come <br />forward. Ms. Lisa Powell, Assistant Planner, presented drawings of <br />the property and answered questions of the two Boards. Ms. Powell <br />stated that Mr. Russ has indicated that he will demolish the <br />existing dwelling in which he currently lives if his request is <br />granted. <br />1 <br />
