2007 - � q <br />• <br />LEE <br />COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />FOR <br />RENTAL SPACE AT THE JONESBORO LIBRARY <br />WHEREAS, Lee County owns the Jonesboro Library property located at <br />309 W. Main Street, and <br />WHEREAS, the building housing the Library has office space on the <br />second floor which the Library did not currently use and has allowed the Hispanic <br />Task Force to occupy it and the Task Force is satisfied with the quarters and <br />desires to rent it from the County, and <br />® WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute Section 160A -272, made <br />applicable to counties by North Carolina General Statute Section 153A -176, <br />authorizes the Board of Commissioners to delegate to the County Manager the <br />authority to lease or rent such property for periods of up to one year. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners resolves that the County Manager is authorized to determine if <br />rooms in the Jonesboro Library are surplus to the County's current needs and to <br />enter into leases of such property for periods of up to one year, upon such terms <br />and conditions as the Manager might determine. <br />Adopted this 23 day of July 2007. <br />Robert H.
