2007 - T <br />• <br />LEE COUNTY <br />" ,s:' 4 <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the position of Tax Administrator, which is the title of the combined <br />positions of Tax Collector (N.C. General Statute 105 -349) and County Assessor <br />(N.C. General Statute 105 -294) is now vacant; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners desires to avoid an interruption in the <br />collection of taxes, and <br />WHEREAS, to keep the offices functioning while the Board decides whether or <br />not to appoint another Tax Administrator or a separate collector it would be <br />advisable to appoint a temporary tax collector, and <br />WHEREAS, for the efficient administration of Tax Department affairs, it is <br />advisable to delegate authority to the County Manager to supervise said <br />• appointee, and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Deborah Denette Fitzpatrick is <br />appointed temporary Tax Collector pending further action by this Board, <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the supervision of this appointment and <br />the daily management of the Tax Department are the responsibility of the County <br />Manager until a permanent Tax Administrator is appointed. <br />Adopted this 10` day of September 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />G ynlell M.
