2007 - SS • EE COUNTY Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT OF AN OFFER TO PURCHASE STRIP OF LAND ON FIELDS DRIVE IN THE CITY OF SANFORD WHEREAS, the County of Lee acquired title to a vacant strip of land being 8.8 feet wide and approximately 60 feet long on the South side of Fields Drive in the City of Sanford by deed recorded in Book 420 at Page 444 in the Lee County Registry with the property having Pin Number 9642 -65- 4429 -00, and more particular described as follows: BEGINNING at the southern right of way of Fields Drive and the northwest corner of the lot belonging to the American Legion Post No. 237 recorded in Book 387 Page 685 in the Lee County Registry and running with Fields Drive in a westerly direction 8.8 feet to the northeast corner of the lot belonging to the Solid Rock Holiness Church recorded in Book 112 at Page 280 in the • Lee County Registry, thence with the church's eastern property line 60 feet South, thence running 8.8 feet East to a point in the western property line of the lot belonging to the American Legion Post No. 237; thence with said property line 65 feet North to the point of BEGINNING, being the same and identical land conveyed by Billy Bryant, Sheriff of Lee County to Lee County by deed recorded in Book 420 at Page 444 in the Lee County Registry to which deed reference is hereby made for greater certainty of description. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee desires to dispose of said property as being surplus to its needs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee as follows: 1. That the vacant strip of land herein before described is hereby declared to be surplus to the needs of the County of Lee. 2. That the County of Lee has received an offer from Little Galilee Holiness Church for the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for the property herein before described. 3. That the County of Lee proposes to accept the offer provided deposits are • made in accordance with the other provisions of this resolution.
