Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion adopted unanimously. Following a brief recess, Commissioner Wicker stated that he received a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Billy Thomas regarding replacing a mobile home on his property. Chairman Stafford asked County Manager Cowan to refer this matter to the appropriate staff and to inform the Board of the results at the next regular meeting. In reference to the Planning Board's recommended amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, County Attorney Hoyle stated that Item C is proposed as follows: Add a note to the Table of Permitted Uses reading as follows: "Temporary carnivals, rides, and ferris wheels shall require a zoning permit from the zoning administrator. Such permits shall be issued for a period not exceeding ten days and may be renewed once in any calendar year. A request for any additional period must be addressed to the Lee County Planning Board which shall have authority to act upon said request without the necessity of a public hearing." Commissioner Hall moved to adopt the amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. A copy of the amendments are attached to these minutes, and by this reference, made a part hereof.
