Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, <br />and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion adopted unanimously. <br />Following a brief recess, Commissioner Wicker stated that he <br />received a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Billy Thomas regarding replacing <br />a mobile home on his property. Chairman Stafford asked County <br />Manager Cowan to refer this matter to the appropriate staff and to <br />inform the Board of the results at the next regular meeting. <br />In reference to the Planning Board's recommended amendment to <br />the Zoning Ordinance, County Attorney Hoyle stated that Item C is <br />proposed as follows: Add a note to the Table of Permitted Uses <br />reading as follows: "Temporary carnivals, rides, and ferris wheels <br />shall require a zoning permit from the zoning administrator. Such <br />permits shall be issued for a period not exceeding ten days and may <br />be renewed once in any calendar year. A request for any additional <br />period must be addressed to the Lee County Planning Board which <br />shall have authority to act upon said request without the necessity <br />of a public hearing." <br />Commissioner Hall moved to adopt the amendments to the Zoning <br />Ordinance. A copy of the amendments are attached to these minutes, <br />and by this reference, made a part hereof. Commissioner Cox <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before this session, <br />Commissioner Cox moved to adjourn.
