im ~{0qV, 1.3 pk, :r 669 NORTH CAROLINA LEE COUNTY U AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 1st day of April, 1991, by and between LEE COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of North Carolina, party of the first part and hereinafter referred to as "County", and PETER LANG d/b/a Lang Associates, party of the second part and hereinafter referred to as "Lang", WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, County has a number of personal computers in its various departments with each department operating its particular personal computers on a more or less independent basis, and WHEREAS, County wishes to bring the operation of all its personal computers within a common or uniform standard so that a particular personal computer can be operated by a number of County employees within and outside of the particular department wherein the said personal computer may be located in an effort to avoid interruption in the computer use in the event the usual operator is not available and also to possibly economize the purchase of software and other supplies in connection with the use of all its personal computers, and WHEREAS, Lang has the knowledge and expertise in regard to computer operation to assist the County in the implementation of procedures to achieve the above-stated objectives and WHEREAS, County and Lang recognize the need for an evaluation and analysis of county's personal computers with appropriate recommendations and installation of said recommendations to accomplish the County's objectives, NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements herein contained County and Lang agree as follows: 1. Services by Lang. Lang will perform a systems analysis on the personal computers in each department of the County which analysis shall include but not be limited to an evaluation of the needs pertinent to the computers in the various departments and 1
