2008 - 66 <br />EE OUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />WORKERS' COMPENSATION INSURANCE COVERAGE <br />WHEREAS, Lee County is required to provide coverage of workers' compensation insurance <br />for employees; and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has previously disseminated Request for Proposals in connection <br />with bidding workers' compensation for Lee County, and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has published a Request for Proposals in a local newspaper, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to such request, Lee County has now received sealed proposals from <br />Compensation Claims Solutions, Millennium Insurance Group, North Carolina Association of <br />County Commissioners and WAUSAU. and <br />WHEREAS, such proposals have been reviewed by the appropriate representatives of Lee <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that Millennium Insurance Group is a responsible entity <br />and that the proposal submitted is responsive. <br />® NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Lee County Board of Commissioners considers <br />it in the best interest of Lee County to proceed with the acceptance of the workers' <br />compensation proposal from Millennium Insurance Group for workers' compensation insurance <br />coverage and to award the subject proposal to said entity and to make provisions for execution <br />of all documents necessary in order to effectuate such award. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Lee County Board of Commissioners that the proposal <br />for workers' compensation insurance coverage is hereby awarded to Millennium Insurance <br />Group for an annual payment of $498,430.00 and that the appropriate representatives of Lee <br />County shall prepare and otherwise provide all necessary documents and issue required forms <br />in order to effectuate such award, and that the County Manager of Lee County shall be and is <br />hereby authorized to execute said documents on behalf of Lee County upon review and <br />approval thereof by the County Attorney of said County. <br />Adopted this 2 nd day of June 2008. <br />Robert H.
