2009 - 2- <br />L EE OU�I Y <br />_. ....1 -A v�.f..v. _'uC ...,. 3.".x..i:.rc.i;. <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />OF AN OFFER TO PURCHASE A VACANT LOT <br />ON OAKWOOD AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SANFORD <br />WHEREAS, the County of Lee acquired title to a vacant lot 80 feet wide and 160 feet <br />deep on the North side of Oakwood Avenue in the City of Sanford by Deed recorded in <br />Book 943 Page 903 in the Office of the Register of Deeds for Lee County with property <br />bearing PIN # 9642 -98- 3961 -00, and more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point in the northern margin of Oakwood Avenue, <br />160 feet from the northeastern intersection of Oakwood Avenue and <br />Third Street; running thence parallel with Third Street North 12 degrees <br />West 160 feet to a point; thence South 78 degrees West 80 feet to a <br />point; thence South 12 degrees East 160 feet to Oakwood Avenue; <br />thence North 78 degrees along Oakwood Avenue 80 feet to the <br />beginning. <br />• WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee desires to dispose of <br />said property as being surplus to their needs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the <br />County of Lee as follows: <br />1. That the vacant lot identified on Oakwood Avenue herein before described is <br />hereby declared to be surplus to the needs of the County of Lee. <br />2. That the County of Lee has received an offer from Mr. Cecil Williams for the <br />sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for the property herein before <br />described. <br />3. That the County of Lee proposes to accept the offer provided deposits are <br />made in accordance with the other provisions of this resolution. <br />4. The offeror shall deposit with the Lee County Finance Office the sum of One <br />Hundred and Twenty -Five Dollars ($125.00) to defray the cost of advertising <br />and administrative services in connection with this offer. Failure to make <br />such deposit within thirteen (13) days following mailing of notice of such <br />requirement by the Clerk to the Board will negate any further proceeding <br />under this resolution.
