LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />DECEMBER 3, 2018 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 5:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Room, First Floor, Lee County Government <br />Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present when <br />the meeting was called to order were Amy M. Dalrymple, Arianna Del Palazzo, Kevin C. Dodson, <br />Dr. Andre Knecht, Robert T. Reives, Cameron W. Sharpe, and Kirk Smith. Staff present included <br />County Manager John Crumpton, Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter, County <br />Attorney Whitney Parrish, and Deputy County Attorney/Clerk to the Board Jennifer Gamble, <br />County Attorney Whitney Parrish called the meeting to order. <br />Commissioner Dodson requested a moment of silence. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />I. ORGANIZATION OF THE BOARD <br />County Attorney Whitney Parrish led the discussion in the re -organization of the Board. Ms. <br />Parrish discussed the selection of a Chairman and a Vice Chairman for a one-year term and the <br />means by which to vote. Commissioner Reives moved to vote by ballot. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Del Palazzo, Dodson, Knecht, Reives, Sharpe, Smith <br />Nay: None <br />Ms. Parrish ruled that the motion had been adopted unanimously and that the voting would <br />take place by ballot. <br />The Board considered the appointment of a Chairman for the upcoming year. Following the <br />collection of the ballots, the vote was as follows: <br />The following Commissioners voted for Commissioner Dalrymple to serve as Chair <br />for the upcoming year: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Del Palazzo, Reives, Sharpe, <br />Smith. <br />Ms. Parrish ruled that the motion had been adopted unanimously and Commissioner <br />Dalrymple would serve as Chair for the upcoming year. <br />Page 115 <br />
