II. APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA <br /> The Board considered changes to the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Sharpe <br /> moved to approve the Consent Agenda as presented, which consisted of the following <br /> items: <br /> A. Minutes from the February 19, 2018 Regular Meeting. <br /> B. Minutes from the February 19, 2018 Closed Session. <br /> C. Request for Renewal of Sanford Farmers Market MOU. <br /> D. Tax Release and Refund Report for February 2018. <br /> E. FY 2018 Senior Health Insurance Information (SHIIP) Outreach Grant under the <br /> Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) through the <br /> Triangle J Area Agency on Aging. <br /> F. Request for Approval of Reach Out and Read Program. <br /> G. Budget Amendment#03/19/18/10. <br /> Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br /> Aye: Dalrymple, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br /> Nay: None <br /> Absent: Dodson <br /> The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously. <br /> III. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Pursuant to General Statute § 152A-52.1, Chair Dalrymple opened the floor for <br /> Public Comments. Bob Finch, 1414 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC (Wicker School) <br /> IV. OLD BUSINESS <br /> A. Consideration of Proposed Economic Development Project— Project Eagle <br /> County Attorney Whitney Parrish reviewed the proposed terms for Project Eagle. <br /> The project consists of building renovations and the purchase of machinery and <br /> equipment in the amount of$29,500,000.00 in taxable investment in Lee County, <br /> with the County sharing up to $346,246.00 of the cost of the project with revenues <br /> from the County General Fund over the five year life of the project. The project is <br /> estimated to create at least 40 new jobs with an average annual wage of <br /> $41,526.00.
