The Board decrees that the establishment of the Cape Fear Fire Protection and <br />Rescue Service District shall have no effect on the existence of the Cape Fear RFP District as a <br />legal entity, but that the tax rate for the Cape Fear FRP District shall be set at "0" (zero) for as <br />long as the Cape Fear Fire Protection and Rescue Service District shall exist. <br />4. If this Board does not enter into an agreement with the Cape Fear Rural Fire <br />Department or some other entity to provide fire protection and rescue services to the District <br />contemporaneously with the adoption of this Resolution, the County Manager is authorized at <br />any time after the adoption of this Resolution to negotiate, approve, and execute on behalf of <br />the Board and Lee County a contract or contracts for the provision of fire protection and rescue <br />services within the Cape Fear Fire Protection and Rescue Service District.
