2005 - <br />0 RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE COLLABORATIVE <br />DENTAL PROGRAM <br />BETWEEN <br />CENTRAL CAROLINA COMMUNITY COLLEGE <br />AND THE <br />LEE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br />REPRESENTING A NEW VENTURE ON BEHALF OF THE COLLEGE <br />WHEREAS, Central Carolina Community College and the Lee County Health <br />Department have requested support for long -term sustainability of the <br />collaborative dental project; and <br />WHEREAS, both organizations are negotiating lease agreements with Brick <br />Capital Community Development Corporation for space at the historic W. B. <br />Wicker School; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners, Central Carolina <br />Community College, and the Lee County Health Department will seek additional <br />® outside support for both initial and long -term facility costs of the project; and <br />WHEREAS, such financial support is not guaranteed to be available in the <br />allotted time frame such that leases can be signed and facility enhancement can <br />continue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved that the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners gathered here this 23` day of August 2005, do hereby <br />acknowledge that this venture is a new undertaking on the part of Central <br />Carolina Community College and will involve additional funding and that the <br />Board of Commissioners will give serious consideration to the request for <br />additional funds to support said venture. <br />Herbert A.
