Gavnell Lee
From: Dale Talbert
Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2011 5:33 PM
.To: Linda Shook; Larry C. Oldham; Ed Paschal; Robert Reives; Richard B. Hayes; James
Womack, Jr.; Charles Parks
Cc: John Crumpton; Lisa Minter; Kenneth Hoyle; Gaynell Lee; Marilyn McKinney
Subject: "Marked -Up" version of Interlocal Agreement with the BOE
Attachments: Interlocal Agreement w Proposed LCSS amendments and Manager's edits 7_21_2011.docx
A commissioner requested an attempt be made to produce a document that shows in
different style fonts the chronology of changes made in the proposed interlocal agreement
with the Board of Education. My attempt to do so is attached. Following is an explanation of
how to interpret the various fonts and mark -ups.
The starting point is that the basic document is what the County submitted to Dr. Moss for his
and the BOE's consideration.
1. The text that has strikethroughs over it is the language that Dr. Moss or the BOE
requested be deleted from the County's proposed agreement.
2. The text that is underlined is language Dr. Moss or the BOE wanted added to the
County's proposed agreement.
• 3. The text in italics, bold, and slightly larger font represents the County Manager's and
County" Attorney's proposed revisions to Dr. Moss' and the BOE's suggested changes.
Although Mr. Hoyle and I are attending a training session the remainder of the week, we
will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the development of this
agreement. You probably will have a better chance of contacting us by calling my cell
phone (523- 3342).
The Clerk is providing Mr. Reives and Mr. Paschal copies of this e-mail and the document
via facsimile.
W. Dale Talbert
Lee County Deputy Attorney
106 Hillcrest Drive
Sanford, NC 27330
Telephone: 919 - 718 -4610
E
1
