M <br />A f ,, n Love✓ <br />11 <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />COUNTY OF LEE <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />TO PROVIDE A SPECIAL RESTRICTED APPROPRIATION TO THE LEE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF FUNDING TEACHER'S <br />ASSISTANTS AND TUTORS SALARIES AND THE GRADUATION AMBASSADORS <br />PROGRAM DURING FISCAL YEARS 2011 -2012 AND 2012 -2013 <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of July, 2011, by and <br />F - 1 L <br />between the COUNTY OF LEE, one of the counties of the State of North Carolina, and a body <br />politic and corporate (hereinafter referred to as the "County ") and the LEE COUNTY BOARD <br />OF EDUCATION, a body corporate, (hereinafter referred to as the "School Board ") <br />WHEREAS, Section 24 of the Lee County Budget Ordinance adopted by the County <br />contains a Special Appropriation to Current Expense for Lee County Schools in the amount of <br />$500,000 and is a commitment for two years. <br />NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the premises hereto and other good and <br />valuable consideration, the parties agree to the following: <br />1. A commitment is made by the County for $500,000 in fiscal years ending June 30, <br />2012 and June 30, 2013 of which $400,000 is exclusively to employ teacher assistants <br />and $100,000 is to specifically fund tutors and the graduation ambassador program. <br />0 <br />
