605 <br />LEE COU NTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />JUNE 20, 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 <br />v <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners i present iv were Richard B. Hayes, <br />Larry "Doc' Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Nathan E. Paschal, Robe \TT Reives, Linda A. Shook, and <br />James K. Womack, Jr. <br />Chairman Shook called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />Commissioner Womack delivered the <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. County Manager John Crumpton <br />asked that a budget amendment be added to the, anager's Report at the end of the meeting. <br />Chairman Shook stated that discussion on funding for the Temple Theater would be held during budget <br />discussion and not asa� separate ` item as listed on the Agenda. With no additional changes made, <br />Commissioner Oldham , mov\o 'approve_ the %Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham; Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />./Naves None V <br />the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />items: <br />Minutes from the June 1, June 2, June 3, June 6, June 7, June 10, and <br />June 13, 2011 budget work sessions, <br />• Minutes from the June 6, 2011 regular meeting, <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for May 2011 (copy attached), <br />• Fireworks permit for July 4` Deep River celebration (copy attached), <br />• Ten -year write off of delinquent taxes, <br />• Bids for construction of White Goods handling area to Cole Construction <br />Co. of Sanford in the amount of $138,640 (copy attached), <br />
