Crompton <br />April 23, 2005 <br />Page 10 of 11 <br />For Phase 3, Construction services, our fees will be developed after completion of the <br />Design and Permitting Phase as previously described. <br />Reimbursable expenses include mileage, postage, and reproduction costs for study <br />reports, exhibits for presentation to the Owner, including plans and specifications. This <br />also includes the preparation of base maps and/or aerial photomaps for preliminary <br />wetlands mapping. <br />Please note that permitting fees are not included. Dam Safety permitting fees will <br />include a $200 non-refundable minimum application processing fee with filing of <br />application. An additional application processing fee will be due when the as-built <br />plans are submitted and are based upon a percentage of the cost of construction, which <br />will be 1.0% of an actual cost between $500,001 and $1,000,000 and 0.5% of an actual cost <br />over $1,000,001. If a CLOMR is required for FEMA permitting, the fee would be $4,400. <br />IV. ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br />In general, our scope of work does not include any services not expressly stated in this <br />proposal. Revisions to the scope of work initiated or approved by the Client once work <br />® is started will be considered additional services. Additional expenses and any other <br />services not addressed in the basic services will be considered additional services will be <br />provided under a separate scope of work in the form of a contract change request and <br />will be billed according to the attached billing rate schedule. <br />V. SCHEDULE <br />McKim & Creed is prepared to initiate work upon receipt of your written notification. <br />The following is offered as a preliminary schedule- <br />A. Phase 1- We anticipate that Phase 1 can be completed within 90 days from <br />receipt of notice to proceed. <br />B. Phase 2- We anticipate that approximately 60 days will be necessary for the <br />final design and preparation of final plans, specifications, and permitting <br />materials. Upon submitting to the State Dam Safety Engineer and <br />FEMA/NCFMP, we expect the review by these offices will take 90 days. <br />Therefore, the total time for Phase 2 is anticipated to be approximately 120 <br />days. <br />J <br />
