028
April 23, 2008
Mr. John A. Crompton
County Manager
First Floor, Lee County Government Center
106I-tillcrest Drive
Sanford, NC 27331
RE: Proposal for Professional Services
San-Lee Park Dam Modification Project
Lee County, North Carolina
Dear Mr. Crompton:
P W 071295
McKim & Creed, P.A. is please to present the following professional services
proposal for improvements to the San-Lee Park Dam. We have been onsite now
on several occasions and understand the needs and challenges for your project.
We are excited about the opportunity to serve Lee County and anticipate that we
have a strategy to repair the existing San-Lee Park Dam to meet the requirement
of NC Dam Safety in the most practical and economical way.
Our understanding and scope of services for the project is outlined as follows:
PROJECT UNDERSTANDING
'Phis proposal has been prepared based upon our review of the Phase I
Inspection Report National Dam Safety Program dated July 29, 1980 and
subsequent reports prepared by other consultants for the San-Lee Park
Dam. In addition McKim & Creed performed a significant amount of
preliminary analyses to develop a strategy for a spillway improvement
that we anticipate will be the most cost effective solution to Lee County.
We presented these strategies during our interview on February 25, 2008.
J
