I. <br />Information <br />Meeting Date: April 21, 2008 -Action Item <br />XX Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: Budget Amendment #04/21/08/21 <br />DEPARTMENT: Finance <br />CONTACT PERSON: Lisa G. Minter, Finance Director <br />REQUEST: Approval of Budget Amendment #04/21/08/21 <br />SUMMARY: Budget Amendment #04/21/08/21 appropriates funds for the <br />following departments: Elections - Elections has received a HAVA grant award totaling $46,552 <br />to assist with cost associated with having three additional one-stop voting sites. Sheriff - The <br />Sheriff's department has received a grant from the Governor's Crime Commission for overtime <br />pay. The money is being appropriated to salaries and wages. Insurance refunds received for <br />damaged Sheriff's vehicles are being appropriated to vehicle maintenance to cover additional <br />costs. Health - Family Planning - The Health Department has received an additional allocation <br />of $3,788 for family planning services. No additional County dollars are required. Health - <br />General Administration - The Health Department has received additional General Aid-to-County <br />money totaling $4,266. The department has also received $15,000 in funding to improve the <br />delivery of the 10 essential public health services, including prevention activities that focus on the <br />prevention of suicide among adolescents and young adults. The funds will be used for the <br />Asthma Coalition.
