B. <br />_ Information <br />X Action Item <br />Meeting Date: February 18, 2008 - Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: County Revenue Options percent Sales Tax Referendum <br />DEPARTMENT: Administration <br />CONTACT PERSON: John Crumpton, Lisa Minter <br />REQUEST: Consider Resolutions for the'/ Percent Sales Tax Levy <br />SUMMARY: Since September, the Finance Committee and Board of <br />Commissioners have been reviewing the 2007 '/4 percent sales tax <br />levy which was authorized by the General Assembly. The two <br />resolutions which are attached set the date of the referendum and <br />the intended uses of the new revenue- <br />ATTACHMENT(S): 1) Resolution asking the Board of Elections to hold a <br />Referendum on the % percent sales tax during the May 6, 2008, <br />Primary Elections <br />2) Resolution stating that the Commissioners intent on uses for <br />the revenue received from the new sales tax. <br />BUDGET IMPACT: <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />PRIOR COMMITTEE <br />ACTION: <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />N/A <br />N/A <br />None <br />Approve resolutions <br />F~ <br />
