The NCDOT also provided instructions on the <br />specific steps that should be taken to amend these documents. These actions are being <br />required to incorporate a number of new or revised provisions into these documents <br />® pertaining to membership, structure, quorums, open public meetings, voting, and future <br />document modifications and approvals. TARPO's original MOU was dated August 28, <br />2002. <br />Since receiving this notice, the TARPO staff and committees have been engaged in <br />specific actions to amend the MOU and to comply with the above requirements. Aftet <br />the MOU amendments have been fully completed, additional actions will be taken to <br />amended the Bylaws for the TARPO committees. On October 18i5, the TARPO Rural <br />Transportation Advisory Committee (RTAC) passed a motion for forwarding the <br />proposed amended MOU to the member county boards for review and approval as to <br />form and content. Enclosed is a copy of the proposed amended TARPO MOU. The <br />various changes and additions to this document have been underscored. <br />It is requested that you present the proposed amended MOU to your commission board <br />during November or the earliest possible date and that you advise me of your board's <br />action as to the satisfactory or dissatisfactory nature of this document. The TARPO <br />RTAC has tentatively scheduled its approval of this document on December I la', subject <br />to satisfactory indications being provided by the member county commission boards.
