0 BRAC RTF Proposed Fee Schedule for counties for fy2008. <br />1. Ten percent matching funds for DOD/OEA grant: Tier One counties only. The <br />DOD/OEA grant funds the BRAC RTF program and the development of the <br />Comprehensive Regional Growth Plan over a two year period. Currently the matching <br />funds are $8,300 per county per year for two years. Year 2 starts October 1, 2007. If the <br />grant adjustment request to OEA is approved, the OEA grant will increase by $750,688, <br />and the Tier One county share of matching funds will increase by $8,638 to $16,938 for <br />f}2008. This is the only increase expected for this OEA grant.County expenses associated <br />with BRAC RTF pro6n ams that are in the scope of wort: may be deducted from the total <br />required. <br />The fee schedule for matching funds for Tier One counties is $16,938. <br />The fee schedule for matching funds for Tier Two counties is: none. <br />2. Economic Development funds: Greenfield Economic Development services are to <br />contact and recruit defense related companies to the region. They work with the county <br />economic developers to develop proposals and to find locations for office and warehouse <br />space. They also host potential clients during site visits. <br />- Their fees are estimated at $75,000, however their fees are time based and our <br />economic development working group feels that this amount is low. To cover the costs <br />of additional expenses such as client visits, we are projecting $2,500 per month for <br />• twelve months for $30,000, which is a total of $105,000 for their services for the year. <br />To promote and market this region and distribute marketing materials, it is <br />recommended that we have a presence at national level defense related trade shows, such <br />as the AUSA and AEA annual conventions in Washington DC. Recommended projected <br />funding for trade shows is $25,000. <br />- The initial marketing and promotional materials is funded by the NEG funds, <br />however additional materials Nvill need to be purchased for replenishment and updates, as <br />well as fact sheets and handouts.
