Brown, Chairman, Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />The undersigned Chairman of the Lee County Board of Commissioners, pursuant <br />to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, hereby calls a special meeting of the Lee <br />County Board of Commissioners to be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2007, in <br />the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, <br />North Carolina, to consider having an advisory referendum for approval to levy either or <br />both the 1/4 cent sales and use tax, in addition to all other state and local use taxes, or a <br />land transfer tax (up to .4%) as authorized by the last session of the North Carolina <br />General Assembly. <br />0 Dated this 29`h day of August 2007. <br />'Robert H.
