©aa~ 13 Pr,~% 7 Ala <br />WHEREAS, in order to provide satisfactory water services <br />to areas of Harnett County located within the Southwest Water <br />and Sewer District and the West Central Water and Sewer <br />District, the County of Harnett as part of its water <br />facilities project for Southwest Water and Sewer District (the <br />"Project") finds it necessary to locate a water distribution <br />pipeline within an area of Lee County; and <br />WHEREAS, as the operator of a water supply and <br />distribution system public enterprise, the County of Harnett <br />may provide for the installation of said pipeline under <br />authority set forth in Article 15 of Chapter 153A of the <br />General Statutes of North Carolina; and <br />WHEREAS, said County of Harnett as part of the Project <br />desires to provide water service to those Lee County citizens <br />located adjacent to the referenced pipeline; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Harnett requests that the Board of <br />Commissioners of Lee County authorize the providing of water <br />services to said area adjacent to the pipeline; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County desires <br />to aid in the development of said area and further the <br />opportunity of its citizens to obtain a public water supply <br />and further desires to authorize the providing of water <br />services as set forth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />Commissioners of Lee County that: <br />The County of Harnett and the Southwest Water and Sewer <br />District of Harnett County shall be and hereby are authorized <br />to provide public water services to that area of Lee County <br />adjacent to the following state roads: <br />a. State Road <br />State Road <br />b. State Road <br />Road 1001; <br />C. State Road <br />Harnett Cc <br />1169 from the Harnett County line west to <br />1162; <br />1162 from State Road 1169 south to State <br />and <br />1001 from State Road 1162 east to the <br />inty line. <br />Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been adopted <br />unanimously. <br />Chairman Stafford directed Mr. Joyce to evaluate the area <br />involved by the next Board meeting in order for the Board to <br />8 <br />
