0 avol 13 ptu 783 <br />APPROVAL FOR WIRING HANGERS <br />Mr. Lawrence got two bids, the first one was from David H. Simpson Const. <br />Co. at $2,498, and the second was from John Bridges Electric Co. at $3,980. <br />Mr. Simpson constructed the hangers so they were familiar with his work. Mr. <br />Pearson made a motion to go with the low bidder. Mr. Black seconded the <br />motion and the vote was unanimous. <br />DISCUSSION ON AIRPORT RULES <br />Mr. Ogourn had discussed with the Commission last month that <br />he was shavig <br />locirs on his door n <br />trouble with one of the occupants. He has changed <br />the electrician couldn't get in to estimate wiring the hanger. Mr. Ogburn <br />drafted a letter and read it to the Commission. They discussed the <br />regulations that he had failed to comply with and decided that they needed <br />to be stated in the letter. If the occupant still fails to comply, then it <br />would be turned over to Jimmy Love because he would be in violation of the <br />lease. <br />Mr. Boger made a motion-that the letter that they are going to send be sent <br />from the Airport Commission and that Chairman Mann sign it. Mr. Pearson <br />seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. <br />OT"rIIt BUSINESS <br />Chairman Marn asked for a motion whether or not to accept the "Scope of <br />Work" submitted to them by The LPA Group of N.C. Mr. Lawrence made the <br />motion to accept the Sanford-Lee County Airport Alternative Study Scope of <br />Work".,_it-was seconded by Mr. Pearson and the vote was-unanimous. <br />_f <br />Mr. Lawrence said that they needed to vote on the Grant Agreement for the <br />obstruction/removal of the pine trees for the Airport. The Airport was to <br />get $5,000 from the City, County, and State. When they lengthen the ruruaay j <br />it was questionable whether or not the trees were in violation. They were 6" <br />below legal limits. Ms. Og-ourn had a study done by NCDOT, Div. of Aviation <br />and they snow a few trees that are in violation. Mr. Lawrence made amotion/ <br />to accent the Grant, it was seconded by Ns. Pearson, and the vote was <br />unanimous. <br />Chairman Mann said that Mr. Pearson agreed to serve as Chairman of the <br />Finance Committee. Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Mullis agreed to serve as Chairman <br />and Co-Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee. <br />Chairman Mann read over the status of the airport grants from Bob Joyce. <br />A?PROVPL OF N-ON?rHy BI-LS <br />The monthly bills were revie n d and approved. Mr• Lawrence made a motion to <br />approve the paying of the bills, it was seconded by Mr. Boger, and the vote <br />was unanimous. <br />
