Chairman Stafford stated that <br />State law authorizes the Commissioner serving on the LHMH <br />Board to make these appointments and to inform the <br />Commissioners of the appointments. Commissioner Hall made a <br />motion to support Commissioner Reives' reappointment of Ms. <br />Terry Norris on the Lee-Harnett Mental Health Board. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been adopted <br />unanimously. <br />Commissioner Hall moved to support Commissioner Reives' <br />appointment of Mr. Thomas C. Gordon to fill the vacancy on the <br />Lee-Harnett Mental Health Board. Commissioner Paschal <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been adopted <br />unanimously. <br />Chairman Stafford presented the following resolution for <br />the Board's consideration: <br />WHEREAS, the United States Air Force Tactical Air Command <br />Band presented a musical program at the Lee Senior High School <br />on April 24, 1991; and <br />WHEREAS, the skill and artistry of the members of this <br />unit was of such high caliber as to reflect credit upon the <br />individuals, their superiors, and the service they represent; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners for Lee County <br />does hereby resolve to commend the United States Air Force <br />Tactical Air Command Band for its superior performance on <br />April 24, 1991, and express its appreciation for the unit's <br />contribution to the cultural enrichment of Lee County <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to adopt the resolution. <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and <br />Wicker <br />10 <br />
