e ao 13 89 Petition submitted by Wendell Johnson for Johnny and Nancy Holt to change the zoning classification of 21.80 acres of land located on the eastern side of Jefferson Davis Highway approximately 1000 feet south of the intersection of Wildlife Road and Jefferson Davis Highway from Residential Agricultural District to Light Industrial District. Speaking in favor of the request, Mr. Wendell Johnson of 7120 Center Church Road stated that he plans to purchase the property in question, pending approval of the rezoning of this property. After all persons had been given an opportunity to speak on this request, Mr. Barefoot presented drawings of the property and answered questions from the Board for the following: Petition by Dora Mae Thomas for IFT Properties of Lee County, Inc. to change the zoning classification of a portion of the 89.92 acres of land located on the southern side of John Rosser Road, at 3013 and 3017 John Rosser Road, approxiamtely 200 feet from the intersection with Dixie Farm Road from Residential Agricultural District to Residential Mixed Conditional Use District. The petitioner proposes to locate a manufactured home park on the property. Speaking on behalf of Mrs. Thomas, Mr. Chip Post stated that the manufactured home park would provide affordable homes for those who cannot afford expensive housing costs. The property is surrounded by Dora Mae and M. G. Thomas' properties. Four manufactured homes are already located in the area and there are other manufactured homes in the general vicinity. There are no residential subdivisions in the area, and the traffic flow is not heavy. Mrs. Peggy Barber, speaking on behalf of Dora Mae and A. G. Thomas, stated that she would appreciate the Board's consideration of the request. Mr. Howard Eisenhower of 514 Dixie Farm Road stated that he opposes the manufactured home park, especially since a manufactured home park with eight lots has recently been completed within 1.5 miles of this site. There is also a manufactured home park on Long Street that consists of more than forty lots. He stated that City water is within .4 mile of the site which will facilitate a community water system. Mr. Eisenhower presented a petition signed by residents located on John Rosser Road, a copy of which is attached to these minutes, and upon this reference, made a part hereof. Mr. Guyion Angell of 500 Dixie Farm Road stated that his residence and farm adjoins the property in question. He stated that the manufactured home park will depreciate his property values and other residential properties in the area. The Chairman asked that citizens attending the meeting 2
