u~~ S -11;rZ U-9. <br />Solid Waste Management Trust Fund for "solid waste management <br />planning" within the Department of Environment, Health and Natural <br />Resources and would impose a $1 per ton fee on solid waste "upon <br />every person who operates a solid waste management facility in the <br />State", including local governments. Commissioner Hall moved to <br />oppose this attempt to fund a State agency with local funds and to <br />notify our legislators of the Board's position on this proposal. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Wicker, on behalf of the Board, expressed regrets <br />of Ms. Eva Brown's resignation from the Youth Services Commission and <br />commended her faithful service to the Youth Services Programs. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved that the meeting be adjourned until <br />3:00 o'clock P.M., June 27, 1991, to reconvene in the Commissioners' <br />Room of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North <br />Carolina. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted and <br />the meeting adjourned. <br />William C.
