WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation is <br />required to pave 2.08 miles in Lee County during the Fiscal Year <br />1991-92 in order to meet the goals on the 1989 Highway Trust Fund <br />Legislation, and the 1991-92 Secondary Road Construction Program <br />proposes to pave 2.21 miles; and therefore, the remainder of funds <br />received in addition to the $249,610 be utilized for paved secondary <br />road improvement projects and in spot stabilization of unpaved <br />secondary roads. <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to utilize $95,000 of Secondary Road <br />Construction Funds and $76,500 of Secondary Road Trust Funds for a <br />total of $171,500 to pave down the Rural Priority List as far as <br />possible under funding and right-of-way constraints. Initial paving <br />projects anticipated: <br />Priority 2 Grade, drain, Base, Pave, and Erosion Control - SR <br />1536 <br />from NC 42 to SR 1535 - 0.80 mile <br />Secondary Road Trust Fund <br />Estimated Cost - $63,000 <br />Initial Funding - 1990-91 - $60,000 <br />Increase to Complete Funding - $3,000 <br />Priority 3 Grade, Drain, Base, Pave, and Erosion Control - SR <br />1315 <br />from SR 1313 to dead end - 1.30 miles <br />Secondary Road Construction Fund <br />Estimated Cost - $100,000 <br />Initial Allocation - $95,000 <br />Priority 4 Survey, Right-of-way Acquisition, Grade, Drain, Base, <br />Pave, and Erosion Control - SR 1500 from NC 42 to <br />SR 1505 - 0.80 mile <br />Secondary Road Trust Fund <br />Estimated Cost - $65,000 <br />Priority 5 Survey, Right-of-way Acquisition, Grade, Drain, Base, <br />Pave, and Erosion Control - SR 1430 from SR 1466 to <br />dead end - 0.80 mile <br />Secondary Road Trust Fund <br />Estimated Cost - $65,000 <br />Initial Allocation - $8,500 <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to utilize $45,000 of Secondary Road <br />Construction Funds to pave down the Subdivision Priority List as far <br />as possible under funding and right-of-way constraints. Initial <br />paving projects anticipated: <br />Priority 16 Grade, Drain, Base, Pave, and Erosion Control - SR <br />1455 <br />from SR 1423 to dead end - 0.40 mile <br />Secondary Road Construction Fund <br />Estimated Cost - $30,000 <br />6 <br />
