b9o~ ft e?,cF 895 Mr. Barefoot then presented a request from Mr. and Mrs. Allen Chilton to connect Fountainwood Mobile Home Park to the Harnett County Water System with a 400' water line extension, which the Buildings, Grounds, and Utilities Committee reviewed and recommended. Commissioner Hall moved to approve the request to allow the Harnett County Water System to extend a water line approximately 400' to serve Fountainwood Mobile Horne Park and to allow, at this time, no other tap-ons for further expansion. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board next considered the reappointment of the Tax Collector and the Tax Assessor for Fiscal Year 1991-1992. Commissioner Matthews moved to reappoint Mr. Nathan Crissman as Tax Collector and Tax Assessor through June 30, 1992. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board then considered the following resolution: RESOLUTION DECLARING COST AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL AND SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL WHEREAS, the extension of the water line from the west side of US #1 Bypass to the west side of Carthage Street; then along Carthage Street north to the property line between Womble (9031-68-6203) and Johnson (9031-68-8498), was ordered by Resolution of this Lee County Board of Commissioners duly passed on the 4th day of February, 1991, and has been completed on accordance therewith; and WHEREAS, the total cost of the project has been computed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, North Carolina, that: 1) The total cost of the above described project is hereby declared to be $22,800.00. 2) The Clerk to the Board is hereby directed to prepare a Preliminary Assessment Roll showing the individual assessments upon the benefitted properties. 3) The Tax Administrator is hereby directed to make available during regular office hours, in his office, the Preliminary 4
