There being no one present wishing to speak for or against <br />this request, Ms. Powell presented drawings of the property and <br />answered questions from the Boards for the following: <br />Petition by Joseph Weeks to rezone a total of 43.11 acres of <br />land located at 8725 Old E. C. Womack Road, a private road which <br />intersects with Buckhorn Road, from Residential Agricultual District <br />to Residential Mixed Conditional Use District. The petitioner <br />proposes to locate a manufactured home park on the property. <br />Speaking in favor of the request, Mr. Joseph Weeks stated that he <br />resides on the property and will oversee the ten-lot manufactured <br />home park. When questioned about the road access to the proposed <br />park, Ms. Powell stated that E. C. Womack Road is a graveled "cart <br />path" and the Planning Board will have to address the issue of <br />whether or not the road will provide proper access to the park. Ms. <br />Powell noted that the road is privately owned and relatively well <br />maintained by the owners involved. After all persons had been given <br />an opportunity to speak on this request, Ms. Powell presented a <br />recommendation to amend the Zoning ordinance as follows: <br />Amend Ar.t_ic1e....VI_II D,i,mensional Requireme.nts,,....... Section...,l. Table_ <br />of..Area ..,._and Yard Requirements of The Zoning ordinance of Lee County.,,., <br />North Carolina to change the front yard setback from 35 feet to 30 <br />feet in the Residential Agricultural, Residential Mixed, and <br />Residential Restricted District. Ms. Powell stated that the change <br />would be consistent with The Subdivision Ordinanceof Lee County, <br />which requires a front yard setback of 30 feet in the Residential <br />Agricultural, Residential Mixed, and Residential Restricted District. <br />There was no one present wishing to speak for or against this <br />request. <br />After all persons desiring to speak had been given an <br />opportunity to be heard, Commissioner Cox moved to close the public <br />hearing. Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Hall, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, Stafford, and Wicker <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman declared the motion had been unanimously adopted <br />and the public hearing closed. Upon the Planning Board's departure <br />from the meeting, Chairman Stafford welcomed Mr. Fred Webb as a newly <br />appointed member of the Planning Board. <br />The Board considered the following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, Mr. William A. Waddell was born on July 3, 1914, and at <br />the age of fourteen, served as a water boy for his father, a brick <br />mason, who helped build the Lee County Hospital; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. William A.
